Central Texas Deer Hunts. We are a small 104 Acre low fence ranch. We have varied terrain with open fields and lots of cover. We have Oak and Mesquite trees. The property is split by a large canyon. There are several water sources on the ranch for the wildlife. We have stands in place and each hunter is allowed to pick the stand of his or her choice for each hunt. In the event that two hunters pick the same stand it will be decided by luck of a draw. We have a hunters cabin to stay in. All meals are included with the price of the hunt. The cabin is old but it does have running water and heating. There is no cable TV but there is a television with VCR tapes and etc.
The weekend package deal allows each hunter to take one buck and one doe. We are in a county that does have antler restrictions. There must be a 13" spread on the antlers. We have pictures of this requirement as well as information on how to judge to be sure the buck is legal. A spike may be taken but it must have at least one un-branched antler. We also can accommodate none hunting family members for a meals and lodging fee. Youth hunters are welcome. There is not a cold storage area on site but there are processors in the area that will hold the deer for you or process it. We do have a small building for when the weather permits you can hang your deer.
We will take you to and from the stand of your choice. Pickup times are your choice. We do have limited cell phone service so you can call for pickup any time you are ready. We have set times in the A.M. hunt for putting all hunters out before daybreak. Evening times are your choice.
I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. The best way to reach me is via E-MAIL (firstname.lastname@example.org) or in the evenings by phone. 254-442-2063 or Cell phone 254-631-6960.
We try to have the latest game camera pictures available upon your arrival to help you decide on which stand you would like to hunt.
We have both elevated and ground blinds available. Each stand has a feeder that can easily be seen from the stand. We feed both protein and corn both in the off season and during deer season. If you like you can bring a pop-up or other blind to set up at the location you choose.
